How the No-Charge Mobile Line Actually Works
It's the offer people ask about most, and the one whose wording hides the most. Over a full first year the line's plan charges come to $0, plus the activation fee if it isn't waived; after that it's $360 a year at the regular price.
- 1
Signing up
A one-time $25 activation fee applies to each new line, though promotions often waive it. The internet plan has to be postpaid and 300 Mbps or faster, and the account has to be new to Xfinity Mobile. - 2
Months 1 to 12
Xfinity credits the cost of one Mobile Select line ($30) back on each bill. The credit covers the line's plan; it doesn't pay for a phone. - 3
Month 13
The credits end and the line is billed at $30 a month, the regular Mobile Select price, unless you change plans or cancel the line first. - 4
If your internet changes later
Xfinity Mobile needs Xfinity Internet at signup. Before you change or drop the internet service, ask what happens to the mobile line's price.
Mobile Select vs. Mobile Plus
Two plans, one flat price per line each, and you can mix them on one account. The difference comes down to how much you use cellular data and whether device protection matters to you.
Mobile Select
HD video · 15 GB hotspot
One line credited back for 12 months for new Xfinity Mobile customers with 300 Mbps or faster postpaid Xfinity Internet, one per account
- 50 GB premium data, then speeds may slow when the network is busy
- Unlimited talk and text
- Global Travel Pass in 215+ destinations
Mobile Plus
4K video · 50 GB hotspot
$15/mo for eligible new customers in the first year, then $45/mo
- Unlimited premium data
- Lifetime Device Protection for phones, tablets, and smartwatches: damage, loss, and theft, including devices you bring
- Device upgrades during your term, subject to eligibility
- Call Guard spam-call protection
- Global Travel Pass in 215+ destinations
Mobile Select fits if…
Your phone is on Wi-Fi at home and at work most of the day, and 50 GB of premium data a month comfortably covers what you use away from Wi-Fi. It's also the plan the no-charge first-year line applies to.
Mobile Plus fits if…
You stream over cellular, use your phone as a hotspot, or want device protection without paying for separate insurance. For a two-line household, Mobile Plus on both lines costs $360 more a year than Mobile Select at regular prices.
Xfinity Mobile only works alongside Xfinity Internet. If you'd rather keep your phone service separate from whoever provides your internet, compare AT&T's unlimited plans in the same call.
Peacock and StreamSaver: What's Included and What Costs Extra
Peacock Premium
Recent 1 Gig offers have included Peacock Premium for 2 years. It's tied to the particular offer rather than to the speed, so confirm it's part of the offer at your address. We don't put a dollar value on it here, because Peacock's own price keeps changing; what matters is whether you'd have paid for it anyway.
StreamSaver, $18 to $35 a month
A paid add-on rather than a perk. The $18 bundle is Peacock Premium (with ads), Netflix Standard (with ads), Apple TV. Larger bundles add the Disney+ and Hulu bundle (with ads), HBO Max Basic (with ads), or both. Requires Xfinity postpaid Internet or Xfinity TV. If you already pay for two or three of these separately, it's worth pricing the matching bundle.
Prepaid NOW Internet and Internet Essentials
Two lower-cost routes that sit outside Xfinity's standard postpaid plans, each with its own rules.
NOW Internet
- 100 Mbps$30/mo
- 200 Mbps$45/mo
- Prepaid: you pay ahead each month
- No credit check and no annual contract
- Unlimited data and an Xfinity gateway included
- One flat, all-in monthly price
The 30-day money-back guarantee doesn't cover NOW. If you're weighing it against a postpaid plan, we can walk through the trade-offs on the call.
Internet Essentials
- Internet Essentials75 Mbps down / 10 Mbps up$14.95/mo
- Internet Essentials Plus100 Mbps down / 20 Mbps up$29.95/mo
Households can qualify through programs such as the National School Lunch Program, SNAP, Medicaid, or housing assistance. A Wi-Fi gateway is included, with no activation or equipment fees. Applications go through Xfinity's Internet Essentials program, and approval depends on eligibility.
The Rules Behind Xfinity's Offers
Amounts change; these patterns hold across offers, and they're worth knowing before anyone pitches you one.
- The no-charge Mobile Select line arrives as 12 monthly bill credits, not one up-front discount, and it's limited to one per account.
- The 5-year price guarantee is offered to new Xfinity Internet customers; cancelling and rejoining doesn't start a new five years.
- Every advertised internet price assumes autopay from a bank account plus paperless billing. Card autopay cuts the discount from $10 to $5.
- Streaming perks such as Peacock are attached to particular offers, not to a speed tier, and they change from one offer to the next.
- The headline price moves: Xfinity's advertised 5-year price for 300 Mbps has ranged from $40 to $55 since the guarantee launched.
Sorting Out Which Offers Apply to You
What's on offer at your address this week. Xfinity adjusts offers often and by market, so we check what your address gets on the day you call.
Whether you meet each condition. New to Xfinity Internet, new to Xfinity Mobile, fast enough plan, one per account: the eligibility rules overlap, and it's easy to miss one until the bill arrives.
Which perk sits on which offer. Peacock and similar extras are attached to specific offers. We confirm what's actually included in the one you'd order.
AT&T alongside. If AT&T Fiber is built at your address, or AT&T Wireless suits your household better than Xfinity Mobile, we'll say so in the same call.
If outages are why you're shopping. Repeated Xfinity internet outages are a common reason to compare. We can't troubleshoot an outage or check a line, but we can price Xfinity's current offers next to AT&T Fiber at your address so you can see what else fits.

Questions About Xfinity Offers
For 12 months the plan charge is credited back on your bill, so the line itself costs nothing. Three things still apply: a $25 activation fee per line unless a promotion waives it, the credit covers the plan rather than a phone, and from month 13 the line costs $30 a month.
Postpaid Xfinity Internet at 300 Mbps or faster, which covers every speed in the current lineup. It's for new Xfinity Mobile customers and limited to one line per account.
Xfinity offers the guarantee to new Xfinity Internet customers, one per account. If you already have Xfinity, ask Xfinity directly what your account qualifies for; we can't see or change existing accounts.
No. Recent 1 Gig offers have included Peacock Premium for 2 years, but it belongs to specific offers, not to the speed. Confirm it's in the offer at your address before counting on it.
No. Xfinity postpaid Internet or Xfinity TV is enough. StreamSaver is a paid add-on at $18 to $35 a month, not something bundled into the internet price.
Yes, NOW Internet. It's prepaid, with no credit check and no annual contract: $30 a month for 100 Mbps or $45 for 200 Mbps. It's a separate product from Xfinity's postpaid plans, with fewer speeds to choose from.
Households can qualify through programs such as the National School Lunch Program, SNAP, Medicaid, or housing assistance. Internet Essentials costs $14.95 a month (75 Mbps down / 10 Mbps up); Internet Essentials Plus costs $29.95 (100 Mbps down / 20 Mbps up).
Signing up for Xfinity Mobile requires an Xfinity Internet account. If you're thinking about dropping the internet later, ask what that does to the mobile bill before you make the change.
Not long, as a rule. Xfinity's advertised 5-year price for 300 Mbps has ranged from $40 to $55 since the guarantee launched, and short flash offers have come and gone within a few weeks. We confirm the current version of any offer on the call.
Some can. A new customer on 300 Mbps or faster can have the 5-year guarantee and the no-charge Mobile Select line together, for example. Others depend on the particular offer, so we check the combination for your order on the call.
No. Xfinity sets and changes every offer on this page. We're an independent authorized reseller: we explain the terms and place the order if you decide to go ahead.
No. Xfinity customer support handles existing accounts, bills, and service problems. This page, and the number on it, are for comparing Xfinity offers and ordering new service.
Xfinity does. Once an order goes through, Xfinity runs the service and provides Xfinity technical support for it. We aren't a support channel, and we can't access accounts after setup.

The phone number on this page is ours, for comparing and ordering new service. It isn't an Xfinity customer service phone number; for Comcast customer service on an account you already have, use the contact options in your Xfinity account.
